To improve the semanticality of your website
Why? You may ask. Because...
- Computers love it.
- People love it. (Technically, they don't have to.)
- Search engines love it.
- You may love it. Or not, it's up to you.
Aha, but seriously, semanticality of your website helps in that...
- Your markup makes sense to anyone, including computers, whether today or later, making your pages endure.
- Your information is more global and versatile in that they can be easily understood by people and computers thus easily processed and analyzed for further results.
Well for now, these 2 are all I can think of, more benefits of using semantic markup for your texts and medias can be derived from them, such as search engine favor. Now let's head down to the part where you will learn more about semantic web and how to improve the semanticality of your website.
Below are some links I collected from the web on semantics and semanticality. Some prepare you for further study with introductory tone, some are in-depth talks, and some teach you to make website with semanticality in mind.- InfoMesh
