Checklist to get relevant adsense ads

It’s not first time many compaint about irrelevant ads on their webpages. For a dedicated blogger who writes for income must do things right at the very beginning to get relevant ads.

  1. Stuff your pages with concrete concentrated content before putting on Adsense codes. This is very important because Adsense content crawler visit irregularly to figure out what the page is about thus bringing on what it thought is ‘relevant’ ads. And the interval may take as long as more than 2 weeks. If pages are filled with irrelevant fluff not very targeted from the beginning, it could be a while before the next crawl and adjusting to the content change.
  2. Another similar suggestion would be to never put Adsense on empty / barren pages, even you are planning to add more content later on. This proves to be rather detrimental to your future Adsense income due to irrelevancy.
  3. Organically place your niche keywords in the following tags:- head title: <title>some niche keywords</title>
    - h1, h2, h3, … : <h2>some niche keywords</h2>
    - strong / em tag: <strong>some niche keywords</strong>
    - image alt properties: <img src=”…” mce_src=”…” alt=”some niche keywords” />
    - anchor text of links: <a href=”…” mce_href=”…”>some niche keywords</a>, especially when it’s a internal link to your own content.
    - table caption and summary: <table summary=”some niche keywords”><caption>some niche keywords</caption> … </table>
    - and so forth, but basically, semantic markup for SEO also contribute great to your Adsense relevancy.By organically, I mean not abusing but combining your niche keywords with other words so the whole string makes sense to human visitors.
  4. Avoid non-English characters in English pages.
  5. It is acceptable for a few pages on your site to display ads in other languages, which is very common for Adsense ads. So don’t be bothered by that. Very probably they’ll return to normal the next time Adsense content crawler comes by. Or it may simply results from your geo-location that’s outside English countries, you can always check the ads displayed in another country other than your own with the adsense preview tool.
  6. Before implementing Adsense, you may give an analysis of the keyword density to ensure your page is well targeted. Use these 2 tools: Keyword Density Analyzer and Keyword Density & Prominence.
